Building a Text to Columns Macro

Good morning all. I'm working on a file that has several types of downloaded and transferred data. The data comes in all as text, but some of it is quantities, dates, etc. I need to build a macro that would run text to columns for several columns. I was recording a macro, but it seems to be getting very large and bulky. I'm looking to hopefully simplify it. Can someone help me out?
