    How to lock the cell?

    hi all,

    i facing the problem to lock the cell.
    i am no idea how to lock the cell without sheet protected.

    please help.

    Hi,

    You can't lock the cell without turning on sheet protection. It's like an electric fence around a field. Unless the electricity is turned on the fence doesn't prevent animals straying.

    What are you trying to achieve?

    You may find that adding code syntax Sheet.Protect and Sheet.Unprotect in your macro allows you to control inputs.

    there is impossible to lock some cells without protect the sheet?

    That all depends what you're trying to do / control.

    Most of the time I find that by using the Sheet.Unprotect and Sheet.Protect cells in a macro (usually with a password) I can control changes to cells.
    Usually there's always a way round these things. Tell us your aim and maybe we can help further.
