Hi guys,
Im a complete excel newb. I appologize if this has been explained a hundred times, I have searched this forum, and I have come accross examples, but due to my lack of skill, I havent been able to implement what has been said here to work for me. I have tried my best to implement a code that I've learned from watching youtube videos, etc... and so far, I've managed to have the macro save the file with the date and invoice in the filename.. example.
03072013200.xls
(03072013 - being the date) and (200) as the invoice..
The next step I'd like is for the macro to save the file exactly the same, but to auto generate the correct folder by month and year..
So it would check the date and create a folder like
July13
and then to save that file in that folder..
When the month clicks over to August, it would automatically create the folder as August13 (if there is one, it would not prompt to overwrite, but rather just save the new file in that folder)
I hope i've explained what im trying to do well, if not, please feel free to ask me... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
