    Hi, tt3,

what do you want to get out here as you will try to write the formula into a cell which originally holds a date?

Output is to column V here:

    Hi, tt3,

maybe I can do a lot of things but not get what you are after with from what you posted (the range is set up the wrong way as explained earlier on). Maybe you can post a working formula from the worksheet to give me an idea about what to code?

    Ciao,
    Holger

Re: How to Vlookup start with cell less than date

    Hi Holger,
I have modified your code and how to keep the current cell value instead of "1/1/2010".
Let says the current value at cells U20 is "1/1/2012" then if there no data found in sheet2 so the value at cells U20 should be no change at "1/1/2012".

Re: How to Vlookup start with cell less than date

    Hi, tt3 ,

from what I know about formulas you can hold the result of a formula only if you turn calculation to manual, use circular references and Iterations (but then why would you need a spreadsheet). I would have go with a helper column for all rows where NA is shown and hold the value there. This might be compared to the search result in the actual sheet and evaluated.

    Ciao,
    Holger
