I have a work sheet that has four charts. In trying to write a macro to change the range of the axes I found that two of the charts have the same "Chart" number. When I executed the macro, Excel choose the wrong "Chart2". How is this possible? I have experienced this more than once. I'm on a Mac using Office 2011.

Firstly you have to change the chart number.
The chart number should be distinct.
I was able to create another chart that was given a unique chart number, and solve my immediate problem. You mention that i should change the chart number. Not sure how to do that, any suggestions?
