    Email will not automatically send

I am trying to set up a inventory list, in excel 2007. to email me when items get to a certain threshold and when I enter the macro to email me an alert, it will not send. The macro is working because when I change .Send to .Display, my email pops up. Any help would be greatly appreciated... if you need a copy of the spreadsheet, let me know. Thank you

Did you check your security setting of OUTLOOK, check if "access programitacally to use outlook" is checked..
    or check you outbox also..

Re: Email will not automatically send

Thanks. I don't have admin access to a lot of my security settings but in my "trust center" everything looks like it will not stop me from sending out the emails. Plus, if the macro works to generate the email when I use the .Display function, wouldn't that still tell me that outlook is willing(able) to work with excel? Just asking.

    Hi, cgduck21,

just an idea: please check the email address (maybe mistyped) or try adding the address to the contact list before trying to send.

    Ciao,

I tried the .display and then sent the generated email with success. When I run the macro with .send, nothing happens. Here is the file in question.

Re: Email will not automatically send

It worked fine for me first time. Did you check your "all mail" folder in gmail? Could the automation cause gmail to filter it out?
    Thanks,
    Solus

No joy. It is like excel is toying with me... it tells me everything is fine and I run in .display and everything is good and then I use .send and excel becomes this monster that doesn't want to waste it's precious time with this stupid user... he will never be good enough for us! Let us toy with him!

Re: Email will not automatically send

Is there a setting that the admin has control over that would allow the email to work in .display but not with .send? I'm just boggled!

Rgr- I replied, which is why the issue MUST be in the admin settings of my outlook.
