Using Excel to export date reminders to outlook calender

Good Morning,

We are creating a matrix at work to record employees licenses, tickets ect all which have an expiry date. I want to know if it is possible to have excel combine with outlook to generate an automatic reminder X days out from the expiry date to obtain an updated copy of the records. I am thinking using outlook calender, having excel automatically log the date into the calender once it has been entered into the cell.

Is this possible and if so just how difficult would be it for a some what beginner to excel.

If you have a list of tickets and expiry dates in excel, you could set up a macro in excel to spot the tickets that are, say, due within 5 days, and generate an outlook message to someone with the ticket's details.

or, you could use excel to generate an outlook calendar item for each ticket, and attach an outlook reminder say 5 days out (I think - I've never actually tried this!)

This is pretty much what I am looking for so thanks for the feedback.

I have attached a rough idea of the spreadsheet so it will work like;

Expiry date 7 days out a message will appear (much the same as an appointment reminder) when we open outlook. It will say First Name, Surname, Ticket Expiry reminder.

With over 200 people working for us, managing expired tickets is a laborious tasks hence why I am looking at this avenue. If someone can give me a rough idea on how to make it integrate that would be great.
