Excel Crashes after saving when Macro was used.

Hello all,

I have a huge problem. I have a rather big macro in my workbook. I open the xlsm file...all is well... i run the macro and it works ok. But if i end the macro and safe the file something screws up. On the next opening of the xlsm file, as soon as i try to run the macro... Excel crashes!!! No explanation, no error message!

I would be greatfull for any help!!!!

I have tried Several diferent things regarding having the initial sheet in view when saving but that dosent solve anithing.
As i am very new to Excel and VBA i have spent over 220 hrs. on this project, and i am pretty desperate.
If anyone has an idea of what could be the problem... please let me know.

All code should be plane... no activeX only plane code.

First of all thanks for your help Winon. It is very very much apreciated!!!

With your file the same thing happens. I open it... it works perfect... the macro works perfect.... i close the macro and save the file. On next opening the workbook opens but as soon as i click on the start userform button excel crashes!!!
The only diference is that this time after the 3th try it gave me an automation error before crashing.
I also tryed to update my Office Pro. Because i read that it could be because of a missing service pack....but nop.

I think that the UserForm's Initialize Code is too long. You should try to find a way to break it down into Macros maybe. It could also relate to available RAM on your operating system. Close all other applications that may be running, exit the Internet and Excel, and then try again, with Excel only running.

I did think of braking down the UserForm's Code in to multiple UserForms.
But the UserForm really looks great this Way.
As for my system RAM if got 16Gb DDR3 installed and with all programms running it uses about 4,5Gb including Excel with running macro.
The strange thing is that the error only ocurres after using the macro and saving the excel Workbook. As soon as you re-open the Workbook and try to run the macro again... bye bye... excel. Even if i only open and close the macro without any modifications or changes.

Hi,
an option is to make 3 userforms, 1-st Order Management, 2-nd Print Manager, 3-rd Product and Price and call them when you need to to some stuff right there...it's just a thought!

Thanks for your post.
I will probably have to try it that way. The down side to it is lots of changes and copy past work. The upside might be that, that way i find out where my error is sitting. Maybe that way i can narrow it down to a single userform that crashes aswell. Then at least i know where to look.

it's just an attempt and ...I think it works, I have not received any error in 5 open/run/close...yeah, you need to rewrite the code!
