Typing few characters will fetch matching values from a specific range of values-possible

Hi,

I have an excel where there is a lookup table which have a list of values. Now in another cell if I type a few characters , I want the matching values from the lookup table will be shown from where I will able to choose the appropriate one. It is kind of an auto-complete function.

Please find a sample snapshot of the excel attached.

Here in this example if I type "Mem" in E8, matching values from Performance Parameters ranging cells J5-J15, that is "Memory" should be filled in the cell E8.

Can anyone please help!

I am not sure you can implement autocomplete in a Excel cell... i don't think there is an event that gets triggered when a character gets typed in..

I have attached a slightly different solution...

When you click in one of the cells in column E, a Small userform popups up that lists all the possible selections in a Listbox..

As the user types in the textbox on the Userform.. the Listbox list does a kinda autocomplete function..

Then.. just double click on your desired selection in the Listbox and it will be inserted in the cell you had previously clicked on..
