Hi..
i need a macro to highlight double space in a column

dhilipan,
Do you mean two (or more) consecutive empty rows within the column? Or there are cells that contain text and sometimes the text contains double spaces and you need that highlighted?
Hope that helps,

dhilipan,
Does it have to be a macro? You could apply a conditional format to the column. For example, if you needed it to look at column A, you would select the column and then apply conditional formatting with this formula:

dhilipan,
You can't really highlight part of a cell. You can highlight text, but highlighted spaces are still transparent, so you wouldn't see anything. Best thing you can do is highlight the cell, or the words surrounding the double space (which might be a bit confusing if the double space is at the beginning or ending of the cell).
Do you want to actually do anything with the double-space? Like correct it down to a single space and count how many corrections were needed? Or you just want to be pointed to the double-space cells? If you just want to be pointed to them, the conditional formatting will work, or you can use ctrl+f to bring up the find dialogue and perform a search for double-spaces.
