How To Use a ComboBox to Search Matching Files Name & Open it From A Folder

    Hi need some help.

Currently i am working on creating a "Sales & Purchase Directory Worksheet" which i updating my sales and purchasing data

and for all the sales invoice or purchase invoice or payment voucher or Receipt voucher, are basically all save in a Folder. - call "Data Storage" which is in the "C Drive" and quit often i have to search and open these files for updating or shift it to other location when customer made the payment.

    My Question

    1) It is possible to use a combobox that can search matching files name & than open up the files from the "Data Storage" folder

    Function Option

    1) If the search result found file name 100% matching from the combobox name list, than the files will open,

    if not

    2) If the search result don't found any files name that can match 100% in the data storage folder, than if any files name that is match name list 70% or 80%, a list box that locate under the combobox will display all these name list for me to choose to open.

    Otherwise

    3) Show a msgbox

Hope someone can give me a help.

    Thanks !

Yes this is possible, but quite some work. Do you write VBA? If not, you will probably have to pay someone to do this. Try the commercial services on this site
My approach to providing help is to help you to help yourself. So my answers won't always solve your problem, but hopefully you can learn enough to solve the problem yourself and be more self sufficient for the experience.
