    Self Creating VLOOKUP

    Hi Everyone!

Attached is a example of what im doing, the fields are populated by a VLOOKUP against another worksheet in the workbook.

Using the example attached you can see that if the vlookup doesnt have any data (so blank row in the other sheet) it displays all 0's when i paste special.

    WHAT IM TRYING TO ACHIEVE:

Normally i would manually have to go into the spreadsheet and delete the rows that arent populated by data so in example this would be rows 208-216.

Is there a way with VBA to only create the Vlookup Boxes or 'Template' for the amount of rows that contain data in the other worksheet?

Thus no longer having to manually remove the lines and also not having to create more in the event that there is more than the number of 'boxes' i already have?

    Thanks!

    Re: Self Creating VLOOKUP

    Try this

    If(vlookup()=0,"",vlookup())

All the value with "0" will be replaced with blank.
Instead of "" you can use any other value ie "-", etc

    Re: Self Creating VLOOKUP

Thanks raj, not what im looking for though.

I am wanting to create the vlookup on a loop for however many rows of data the vlookup has, i can do this using a simple count function to get the number however not sure how to create the 'templates'

Give me a second i will upload a sample book to make more sense.

If you use =iferror(vlookup(),""), copied down way past where you think you will need it, it will just sit there, sorta invisible, until data in the other sheet activates it.

    Re: Self Creating VLOOKUP

Dont think i explained myself properly...

So i am wanting to create a vlookup on a loop using my 'box' as a template as shown on the example book ive attached to this post

All of your answers get rid of the values WITHIN the vlookup template, which still doesnt solve the problem of me having to manually go in and delete the rows or 'templates' that dont contain data.
