Parsing Financial Data for Various Tickers

    Hey ALL,

Newbie here... I've been searching around for an answer, but I'm still so green when it comes to VBA, that I can barely follow.

I started with querying tables, but that turned out to be a disaster. I also tried Yahoo with all their "special tags" for particular stats (https://code.google.com/p/yahoo-fina...QuotesDownload). I got so close, but it wasn't quite comprehensive enough.

Given key financials for AAPL: http://www.advfn.com/exchanges/NASDAQ/AAPL/financials

How can I parse specific key figures from the page source info?

I want to build it with as much flexibility as possible, so that I can enter Tickers into a column and have a Macro button build out for whichever metrics I'm interested in.

    Best,
    SDGreen

Leith Ross has probably got this as close as I have seen, but I need a bit more of a walkthrough. Like a 6-yr-old...

You have probably figured it out by now, but if not, try using regular expressions: https://www.udemy.com/blog/vba-regex/

Just gather the patience to go through the above page and try it. This should be an easy task with regexes
