Assistance Required for multi loops selecting data and outputting based on selection.

Hi All,

I am trying to create a workbook which loops through some data and selects all rows based on a user defined field.

I understand I need to to multiple loops of the back of the selection but not sure about the syntax.

Loop 1 Selecting User Defined Field
Loop 2 Selecting Store related to loop 1
Loop 3 Selecting Department related to loop 2
Loop 4 Selecting Product related to loop 3
Loop 5 Selecting Time Period related to loop 4

I want this data to output into the Output sheet. I have included a template of what I am hoping to see.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure how a filter works.

I need to automate this process and run it weekly.

What is it you actually want to find?

You've mentioned a user-defined field and another 4 fields.

I can't quite see how that sits with the workbook.

Hi Norie,

The user defined field is on the selection worksheet. The user selects the region they require.

Based on the region selection I want all data output by time period in the output worksheet.

The output should relate to the user defined field and all combination of the store, department and product. Taking the total amount as the measure.

I hope I explained the example clearly but I really doubt it.

The other fields are in the second worksheet, Raw_data.

So would you want all the rows with VIC in the first Region column, Chadstone in the Store column, Mens in the Department column and 1 in the Product column?

Is that anywhere near?

Actually, scrap all of that.

I think maybe a pivot table, see the attached.

That looks perfect ....my only issue is that I need to updated the data and have a couple of tables linking together.

Is that also possible with a pivot table?
