Excel ActiveX ListBox Does Not Enable

Hello,

Can someone help me with this weird behavior?

I have a template that has three combo boxes and a listbox. The functionality is to select values for the combo boxes
and after selection for the third combo box the listbox populates with a couple of default values. Then the user goes on to double click
the first value in the list box (1stlistbox_Dbclick event fires) and the children of the first default value populates and goes on selecting with the desired value.

The list box is populated with the default values except that it is not enabled/activated to double click. While I was trying to troubleshoot I observed that if I go to design mode and come back the listbox activates and thereafter everything works as expected.

I have four templates with the same code and the same funcationality but only two of them show such behaviour.

P.S These were built using Excel 2003 and now I am working on 2007.

At the end of the InitList subroutine, try placing the following line of code:

If this doesn't work, could you please upload your workbook so that I may take a look at your code in context, and also include instructions for how to replicate the issue that you are experiencing.

Thanks for your reply and appreciate your help.

I have tried that earlier but I see the same behavior and I cannot really upload the workbook here since it is too sensitive.

One more thing I observed was the original workbook that was passed to me works with no issues but as soon as I do a Save As on my local computer this issue comes up. Does it have to do with the 2003-2007 compatability?

If that is what you are observing then it is definitely a compatibility issue.

Sorry couldn't reply to you earlier.

I have re-written this particular part of the workbook from scratch in Excel 2007 and the functionality works with no issues. Looks like I have to re-write the whole workbook .
