.XLSM Slow issues

Hello

It seem that this week my worksheets have slowed down to a crawl when doing certain things

If it is a .XLSM saved without any "Subs" then it all works fine
if it is a .XLSM saved with just a simple sub say a message box - when i then go to any cell and press Ctrl+C or even if i just click on the macro button to look at macros it freezes and goes off loading

when i then delete that simple sub it goes back to working fine again

If i disable macros it then works fine

I am normally always writting macros but this has jammed my whole system and running any macro takes twice as long - this has only started this week

Everyone around me can open these files fine.

can anyone help please?

Hi jaimie,

I have the same kind of problem with a macro that opens/does copy/paste operations/close different excel formats (ie xls, xlsx, and xlsm). When the macro comes to xlsm (with some code) files becomes very slow. I tried to boost the macro with the following code:

but they don't reduce xlsm elaboration time. If you came with a solution please let me know!
