Copy Data from one sheet and paste the consolidated data into another (Data Range Varies)

    Hi all,

I'm facing a problem and need some help to sort it out. Here is the problem.

There are 4 sheets in the workbook I’m using. The data will be entered only in the 1st sheet.
Based on the Date(s) entered in the 1st sheet the data needs to be updated accordingly in sheet 2 based on the date in sheet 1. However the data in the sheet 2 should be consolidated for each date. i.e only one entry for each date. I tried using Pivot table and getting the data from it but it’s not working. Can someone help with a Macro on this??

Please find in the attached sheet to get a more detailed view.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,

I created a Pivot table in your workbook under Sheet report. I think that's what you are looking for.

I also added a small code to the sheet where the table is so its refreshed every time is activated.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Fredlo,

ThanQ for response. I'm not looking for a pivot table. There are some other columns in the sheet which I'm actually working which can't b disclosed here for which a pivot table is not an apt solution.

Could you please let me know if there is any other option other than this.

Re: Copy Data from one sheet and paste the consolidated data into another (Data Range Vari

    Hi Naveed,

    Thanks for the reply.

This is what i wanted. But it is not sorting the data. i.e if a new date is added in the 1st sheet, it is not coming in the sorted order. Rather it is displaying it at the bottom. For example, if I update a row with 1/18/2013 in 1st sheet the data is getting reflected at the end in the 2nd sheet instead of coming in between 1/14/2013 and 1/20/2013.

Can u plz let me know how to get the data in the sorted order ? Also plz let me know how to customize the code which u provided as the sheet names i use r different.

    Thanks

Now try this attached and validate it from your end and let me know..

one more thing in your provide workbook Sheet1 contain your raw data right, so u can change the name as per your original name wherever Sheet1 is there in MACRO CODE and
Sheet2 contain the output result, so u can change the name as per your original name wherever Sheet2 is there in MACRO CODE
