Macro to Divide a Data in Cells and Distribute to X number of Columns

    Hi,

I have a bit of a problem thinking of a way to create a quick way to divide a column of numbers and distribute them onto differing number of columns depending on the size of the number.

Basically, the business gets orders and we have to package them into cartons. The thing is we get variable orders but each carton only fits 22 pcs of the items. So lets say we get an order of 40 items. We then need to divide that by two and split the items into two cartons. If we get an order of 30, we have to split them into two as well because like I said, each carton only fits 22 pcs of the item. If we get 80 pcs of order, we then have to divide it by 4 so that all items fit perfectly into all cartons.

I hope I got my problem telegraphed properly.

    Thanks in advance!

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Hi alansidman!

Thank you very much for replying quickly! I made a mistake on my query, it's not actually columns that I would want to add -> they're actually rows. So, for each divided order quantity, I would want them distributed onto rows below each item.

I've attached a sample BEFORE and AFTER SHEET and a sample image of the BEFORE and AFTER (with diagrams to explain my concern further).

    I hope that's sufficient.

    Thank you again!
