Macro splitting comma delimated cell text into rows with other row data copied...

    Hi,

I really hope someone can help me, I believe my problem is also very similar to this thread that I found a few years ago:

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...w-into-it.html

Essenatially I need a macro that can search text cells in column I for a comma delimiter, then if the comma is present, to split that cell into a row inserted below it, then copy the information in the rest of the row down. The cells (and hence rows) without the comma delimnator should be as is.

Im attaching a dummy worksheet with the exact layout of my data (column I is as is) which gives you a better idea of what Im looking for.

Thanks so much in advance for all your help!

I am not sure if this is what you want. Try and run it, the output is in new sheet.

Re: Macro splitting comma delimated cell text into rows with other row data copied...

Hi, thanks for you your quick response, this is nearly perfect but I would also like the information in the rows to copy down with the cell split (so there are no blank white cells). So for example:

    B78 C78 D78 E78 F78 G78 H78 FR, DE, NL J78 K78 L78 M78 N78 O78 P78

    would turn into:

    B78 C78 D78 E78 F78 G78 H78 FR J78 K78 L78 M78 N78 O78 P78 P78
    B78 C78 D78 E78 F78 G78 H78 DE J78 K78 L78 M78 N78 O78 P78
    B78 C78 D78 E78 F78 G78 H78 NL J78 K78 L78 M78 N78 O78 P78

    thanks again!

Well that is how I see these rows appear. Look at the result on rows 90-92 and tell me how they should appear.
