Macro to merge multiple excel files with same tab name into one file

Hi,

I am currently doing a project which involves adding 4 different tabs from 4 separate excel files into one excel file.

Each tab contains the experiment name which is the same in all 4. I want all four tabs pertaining to that experiment to be in the newly created file with that name.

Experiment1 - Field Report Data
Experiment1 - Measurement Data
Experiment1 - Plot Area Data
Experiment1 - Extra Information

I can do this manually but I have to do it for 142 experiments.

Anyone know how I would go about this? Is this possible in Excel?

There is a free Add-In called:
RDBMerge, Excel Merge Add-in for Excel for Windows
...that can do this. You would run it four times; once for each of the four worksheets you want consolidated.
