cut and paste entire row to another worksheet if cell contains a specific text

Hello everybody

i hope someone could give me a code...

i have a table of my daily tasks list. What i wish to do is when i marked the task as completed (column g) , the entire row will be cut and pasted to another file, so that only pending tasks remain on my file.. I want the new file to be the storage of all my completed tasks.

I hope somebody could help me.

looking forward to hear from anybody.

send a sample and a macro can be written to automatically initiate the cut/paste action when the cell in column G is marked

You have not specified in which sheet would the complete task be copied. They are posted in to sheet4. The code resides in sheet1, not in a standard module.

thanks for the reply. i tried using your file but it seems is not doing anything at all. or may be i am doing somethieng wrong. can you explain to me how it works? how will the entire row be transferred to another sheet?

Note: You need to create a Sheet called Completed first.

IŽm wondering you gonna create the file every time you mark something complete? I guess no. So first you wanna create the storage file where you wanna keep those executed tasks and you want to provide these handsome guys that are writing the code for you with path to this file so they can implement what youŽre asking for

You need to change New File in the Code to the name of the File that you want the data transferred. Also it should have a Sheet name Completed. The New File should be open.
