    problem with replacing dates

    Dear all,

    I recorded the following macro that changed the date from 1/7/2013 to 1/8/2013 at column E. When I run the macro again though the date does not change. It remains for some reason 1/7/2013. Any ideas why? I'm using Excel 2010 on Windows XP. Thanks

    please first check:
    a/ You run it once already so probably the 1/7/2013 is not there anymore.
    b/ You are replacing text not dates so check format of cells.

    then the question is do you realy want to do it with a macro maybe its better off with a formula/function ?

    I can't read the mind of my wife so then I get picture but no sound .... and then I mostly get the idea, same goes here picture your outcome and I get the idea.

    Most probably your dates are actually date serial numbers formatted to look like that, try:
