Postcode range and total qty

Hi..

I need help

I have data in ms excel
in sheet "Data" i have postcode range and the Qty.
In sheet "postcode" show the range postcode which match and write in outputsheet
In sheet "output" is the output for postcode and total Qty

for an example
postcode from 01000 - 02000 = 10
postcode from 02100 - 03100 = 20


so in output sheet show the result
postcode from 01000 - 031000 = 30

I dont understand what it is you want to achieve? Are you trying to break the range values out?

Maybe if you stepped me through what you are doing, it would help to understand better?

yes..
In the sheet "Postcode" is my range postcode which i using


In sheet"Data" is my data have with postcode and Qty

what i want to do is , the postcode in sheet"Postcode" must get range in data in sheet "Data" and total up and output into sheet "output"

for an example
In sheet"data" postcode and Qty

Postcode Qty
08100-08899 4
09100-09599 1
34950 2

This matched with range postcode in sheet"Postcode"
In sheet"Postcode" the postcode range is
Postcode
08100-34950

Then in sheet output it show the result as the range postcode and total sum of Qty
Postcode Qty
08100-34950 7
