VBA or MACRO to take screen shot from Mainframe screen and paste into excel sheet

    Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I'm working on mainframe (PCOMM/HOD) , sometimes I need to take screen shots from mainframe screen and paste into excel sheet.

Can I have a VBA code or MACRO which will take screenshot and will paste it at the desired location/or cell in the excel sheet.

    Thanks,
    Chits

Thank you Andy for your quick reply . But still I have one doubt, with this VBA code when I'm executing this code, it is opening new excel sheet evertytime and paste it there. I want to paste the screens shot in the same excel sheet which I have opened and at the desired cell.

Do you have any idea about this?

    Thanks,
    Chits

change the code so it does not create a new workbook.sheet.

there is probably APIs that will allow that.

You can try searching the forum but I think Google would be your best bet.

Post Re: VBA or MACRO to take screen shot from Mainframe screen and paste into excel sheet

First of all, sorry for bringing an old thread back to live.
Chits asked the same question I'm having right now.

I'm working with IBM Mainframe applications and would like to create a macro (VBA) in Excel which takes a screenshot of the application window and paste it where the Excelbutton will be in place. Sort of 'replace button with screenshot'.

To be honest, I have no idea how I can start programming this. Also, the link Andy Pope posted a few post before does not work anymore :-(

Is there anyone who can help me achiving this?

    Thanks in advance!
