Best way to multiply two textbox values together

Hi.
Can anyone tell me the best way to multiply a value in textbox 1 with textbox 2 and put answer in textbox 3.
If at all possible be good to have an explanation with the code.

In looking for the answer to my question I find so many solutions so was wondering if there is an accepted best way. Trying to avoid getting into any bad habits.
