Macro to copy and open web page

Right now, I have the a username on the spreadsheet (D1), user right clicks and copys then I have a hyperlink that user presses and it open a specific web page. When web page open user will right click on web page and paste user name.

What I would like a macro to do is: press the hyperlink button which both copies the hidden username and opens a specific web page. When web page is opened would paste then paste username on appropriate spot on web page.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Re: Macro to copy and open web page

Thanks for the reply... I want a macro that copys username in "B1" and opens desired website. In this case I used ExcelForum.com (see hyperlink in C1) User then can paste username on desired field on web page. Using the sample attached, the user would have to copy the username found in "B1", then hit the hyperlink in "C1", allow webpage to open the paste. I simple trying to eliminate or the first step of user having to copy username found in "B1" and have a macro that would copy when the hyperlink or similar is pressed.

Also, I would like the Username found in "B1" to be hidden but editable if necessary.

Hi, you can use code that will pass the username directly to the website.
Heres a document with some details how to do it.

If you have the url I will have a look to see if I can sort it for you.

This does what you asked for, click the hyperlink, select the username box on the website, right click, and paste.

Sean thank for the example but I can't seem to get it to work. I click hyperlink, and try to paste username but "paste" is greyed out. Nothing there to paste. When I open your example prompt appears telling me there is a macro and to enable it, which I do. I tried to see you code in macros but can't see anything.
