Hi All.
I'm really hoping that someone is able to help me with this.

I'm creating a spreadsheet in which is to provide feedback for many types of situations (e.g.: internal, external, etc.) However i'm wanting for this feedback to be on one sheet. This would be setup as starting from column A: name; B: date; C: type of feedback; D: issue; E: extra comments; etc...) This spreadsheet will be based on 6 types of feedback that would spread across roughly 20 columns.

what i would like to do (to make things easier for the person providing the feedback) is when the type of feedback is keyed into the cell falling under column C this will highlight the other columns relevant to that type of feedback. I know the conditional format formula to do this to highlight the cells even when i move to another cell. although this is where i get into trouble.

This is what i would like for i to do:
I'm looking for a formula i could use as a (vba code for that sheet) that would only colour the cells that fall under those columns on that specific row based on selecting any cell on that row.

example:
scenario 1: If i selected a row that had 1 out of the 6 types of feedback it would only show the conditional format for the cells that fall on that row, not the entire column.
scenario 2: if i select any other row that already has previous feedback or no feedback listed based on column C it would show that conditional format for that row and wipe out any colours on that would fall outside of this row.
scenario 3: If i have previous feedback already typed that it would not show the conditional format for that row unless i selected any cell on that row.

I'm really hoping that the above explains what i'm looking for, and that someone is able to assist me with this.
Thanking you in advance. http://www.excelforum.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
