    Angry Confusing Logic Question Regarding IF statements and date ranges

    I think I have looked at this too long and I feel retarded.

    I have these variables:

    TodaysDate = Date
    LastUpdateDate = input by user
    Interval = input by user in days
    NextUpdateDate = LasterUpdateDate + Interval
    GreenDate = NextUpdateDate + 14

    I need to do some if statements for 3 outputs.

    Output as 3 (represents green)
    Output as 2 (represents yellow)
    Output as 1 (represents red)

    The user will only input lastupdatedate and interval, the interval would be in days always.

    If the nextupdate date is in the next 14 days of the current date, i need the output as 2(yellow).
    If the nextupdate date is more than 14 days away, the output needs to be 3(green)
    Otherwise, the nextupdatedate is today or already past, the output is 1(red).

    My brain just hurts and i know im so damn close, can someone look at this for me?

    Re: Brain Hurts, Confusing Logic Question

    Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

    Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

    To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

    (This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)
