Help with VBA, find Item from list then sum totals of each item by type

Thought maybe I could run IF or COUNTIF statements, however I couldn't get them to sum the totals in the adjacent column. Now I'm wondering if this can be done through VBA. My knowledge of Excel is enough to get me into trouble and I've played with a few Macro's in the past. Can someone please help me with this?

Here is what I'm trying to do:

I need to be able to find an item by "NOMENCLATURE" then total the amount "AUTHORIZED" for that item. The short list in the attachment is only an example, as there are hundreds of thousands of items I need to total.
