Macro for appearing only the active names

Good morning from the rainy!! Greece!

I would like your assistance on this.

I have a sheet with ids in columnA, names in column B and the condition(Active or Not Active) in column C.

In another sheet clicking in A1 i'd like the current date to appears in A1(or in another cell, if A1 is a problem) and from row 4 and down only the ids & Names that the condition is Active in the other sheet.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

    Hi Maria(Καλημέρα!)

    raining in Crete? Seriously?

As i see that you have no reply from the online VBA experts, one way should be using the filter advanced option like this. I am quite sure that soon, someone will offer to you something better than this.

    Hi Maria,

I'm doing VBA for 2 weeks now and your topic is the first one where I think I can contribute something, yay! :D

The filter advanced option from Fotis is something I don't even now what it is but I tried to make a sub with a loop and use the selection changes and changes for the workbooks.

It works for me BUT when the names are put into Sheet 1 the loop kinda jumps the inactive ones so there are empty rows afterwards in the first sheet. Not sure how to efficiently erase those but should be fairly easy (gonna search later for how to do that)

I had to change the names because I have no clue how to write in Greek ^^

The private subs are written in the code of sheet 1

I have a few general questions though:

    - why do I have to use Target.Adress = "$A$1" .... The dollar Signs make not important but it does not work without them. Which other cell is there that could be selected? (or is the $ sign for something else here?)

    - in the selectionchange I tried to use if "Target.Range("A1") but it only worked with target.row + target.column why is that?

    active ids- changed by Decar.xlsb

I hope I could help a bit with my first post

Decar, thank you very much for trying to help me. As you said there are some issues in you way, but in any case thank you for trying.

Is a huge honor for me, to answer my question, an Excel legend .

For users of Excel in Greece, Fotis is a legend.

    Mr Foti.

I see how you used the Advanced filter in my case and i am impressed!

Thank you so much for this. Does exactly what i need!
