i have this code to count the number of cells within a certain range that has the same color as another cell:
However, it doesn't work if the cells are colored using conditional formatting, which is my case.

Hello alchavar,
Why don't you just count the "qualifiers" you have applied to Conditional Formatting? i.e. =COUNTIF(D:D,"X")
and/or =COUNTIF(E:E,"Y") and/or =COUNTIF(D:D,"Z") etc.
