    Hi friends,
In the following macro I want to hit enter key to generate lc number and then display a pop up message but now I'm not getting time to hit enter key on 'a8' after selecting it. The message 'The lc number is generated' is display without hitting enter key on a8.

Re: How to stop message till I hit enter key

    Hi,
Thank you. I have a another code by which I change a lc number after hitting enter key on cell a8. I want a time to hit enter key on a8 which I'm not getting. Now the the lc number is generated message pop up immediately without hitting enter key on a8 and changing the lc number. I want to hit enter key on a8 and then only a pop up message the lc number is generated.

    Hope this clears your confusion.

    Thank you,

I dont think there is a way to wait on enter key in cell a8... the only thing I think you can do is have an input box... I dont understand why you need to hit the enter key on cell a8 anyways... sorry I would help more but I am not sure what you program looks like or what you are wanting to get done... can you possibly go to advanced and upload your file..

What about pressing F2 to move between the entered data before using left or right arrow key?

    Or

    Am I missing your logic?

Re: How to stop message till I hit enter key

    Hello Sixthsense,
Don't mind. Thank you for your response.

Now I'm facing a problem of paste register number. The receipt number changes after hitting enter key on it only and not after pasting it and then hitting enter key. It should have to enter in the cell directly and then only it changes a receipt number after hitting enter key on it. So now I have created a macro to find register number on register sheet and dropped a idea to achieve it in a single macro.

Is it possible to achieve it in a single macro? Else leave it.

    Thank you.

    Good night!

Re: How to stop message till I hit enter key

    Hello Sixthsense,

    Good morning!

Sorry for not understanding your idea of pressing f2. Today I manually copy the register number from register sheet and paste it in g7 lc sheet; then hit f2 keyand then hit enter key and achieve the target as per my requirement. Day before yesterday without checking the the output I posted the post. Sorry for that.

Now, today please do suggest me the same code to do it automatically using f2 key to avoide two macros for the same task.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Re: How to stop message till I hit enter key

In Access it is possible to restrict the arrow keys within the cell content (By default) but I don't see any option in excel to make it default. So pressing F2 is the way to go I think...

Even event code's will not occur when the cursor in editing mode

So I don't have any other suggestion in my hand
