I WOULD LIKE TO Create an Excel MACRO or script that will retrieve files from a directory and use the info within that file to populate a file labeled “This_is_how_the_new_layout_should_look.xls”
· It should auto execute when opened
· Should list the files to be process located within the c:\ directory (example mobile_sprint_20131008932000.xls) ***GET THE MOST RECENT FILES*****
When the “This_is_how_the_new_layout_should_look.XLS” file is open it should have 2 buttons EXECUTE and QUIT
When They click the EXECUTE it should
Copy the file from the directory(where the ORIGINAL file is stored example C:\ mobile_sprint_20131008932000.xls ) use the info within that file to populate the file labeled “This_is_how_the_new_layout_should_look.xls” (THE File is ATTACHED and stored in the same directory)
Once that is done a message box will pop up to show completed.
Then finally it should save the file with the same naming convention as the ORIGINAL file with a _Load .csv as its prefix
Example mobile_sprint_20131008932000_Load.csv. ****BUT KEEP THE ORIGNAL FILE******
I have attached how the file arrives in the folder, and what the completed worksheet should look like
