Autopopulate multiple cells based on one drop down menu

    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to autopopulate multiple cells based on one drop down menu with a bit of a twist.

I understand how to set up a drop down menu based on a range - but my range contains several rows with the same category name. When I apply this to a drop down I get the same drop down choice several times.

Attached is a sample file showing how I would like to set things up.

Essentially Category 1 takes up several rows and has the same definition, but then several different variables associated with that one category. Not sure how to set up a drop down so it shows the category only once in the drop down, but then will pull in the definition, then all the variables from columns C &D?

I'm open to this being resolved via VBA or formula - whatever is easiest.

Thanks in advance for your help!
