Change Shape Color based on Cell Values

I am trying to create a heat map of a facility, showing hot spots of activity or accidents. I am using shapes to overlay the facility blueprint. I am able to use conditional formatting to color the cells, and would love to just have those cell colors translate directly to the shape overlays I plan to create.
