Allow refresh to users who are read only and don't have access to data connected material

Probably not the best title. Here is my problem... I have about 60 different workbooks and each one of those workbooks has an external data connection to an Access database this database is located on a server that only a few people have access to and unfortunately all of the people who use these workbooks are not on that list. When they open the workbook they get a bunch of pop-ups that said XXXX-database failed to refresh, so then when I make changes in the database these changes never show up unless I go in and refresh that workbook. Does anyone have any thoughts on a work around.

This sounds like an issue that might be solved on the Access side. Perhaps there can be a routine or event-driven dump of the data they need to a CSV file on a server to which they do have access. Then use the CSV file as the data source to the spreadsheets.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
