hi
can anyone tell me how to return focus to combobox
this is my code for combobox1 if the item is not there a textbox appears telling you its been issued then I want to setfocus back to combo instead of going to next

if I use combobox1_change as soon as I enter 1 number in box the textbox appears if the item is there or not,have tried afterupdate aswell,still will not set.focus
any ideas please

Colin, I think it's easier to see the issue if you upload a test file having the same structure as the original file and maybe someone can help you...

it goes to combobox2,have put combobox1.setfocus in there but does not go back,frmissued
has 10 comboboxes if you enter 5030 in combo1a textbox appears to say its been issued waits 2 seconds then disappears but can not set.focus back to it to enter different code

Colin, I am really sorry, it's easy for you because you know very well how yr file works, colud you tell us the steps, I mean how you start and i do not find combobox1 in frmissued...

sorry its me in developer /frmissued to the right of blue issued textbox the drop down arrow is for combo1 the issued box is laid over the top of comboboxes,as said I should have explained better
