Userform textbox value with formula creates a result in excel

I wonder if you guys can help me?

I would like to use a manually input value (date) from a userform, within an equation built into vba, to produce a result which is used within a script.

Script will read "You have been in this position for "X" days. I would like the "X" to be the result of today's date deducted from the date entered into the userform showing as a number (i.e. 28/11/13 - 20/11/13 = 8 Days.

    Is this possible?

Re: Userform textbox value with formula creates a result in excel

I think I have found a way but can someone tell me if I am on the right track or if there is an easier way of doing this?

I'm still looking to see how to get the result in a specific cell (= WorkstreamLength ?), then I'm thinking I can set cell value in excel as the result and then refer to the cell in the script

Also how would I run the fuction as part of the sub, would I need to call the function part way through the sub?

    Any comments?
