I've inherited a tool that uses the Microsoft KB method of programatically creating a DSN. It runs just fine in WinXP/Excel2003 but we're making the transition to Win7/Excel2010 and DSN creation has ceased to function.
I've Googled quite a bit but I haven't come up with a solid solution that works yet. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I'm surprised I haven't gotten a response on this one yet. Perhaps it's time to shift everything to DSN-less connections?

Your code works fine in my 32-bit Win7/Excel2007 environment. I don't have Excel 2010. Are you running in a 64-bit environment? If so, the DSN's for 32-bit drivers are viewable in c:\windows\syswow64\odbcad32.exe. (Opening simply c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe, or running odbcad32 from the command/run line won't show you any 32-bit drivers.)
