API Call function

Hi Folks

I am trying to streamline a process right now, that has users opening four different windows to perform one function. My goal is to have everything inputted on one Excel Spreadsheet, and then develop a Sub Routine with API code to send out all the information to the appropriate windows.

I initially tried to accomplish this through AppActivate and SendKeys with the following code:

But unfortunately after all manner of adding Waits, and multiple AppActivate's the code just doesn't cooperate.

So per a previous thread, I was advised to look into API Calls, and after delving into the internet for a few days. I am still at a lose.

The first window in question is "Note Entry", can someone point me in the right direction or help me out?

Have you tried shell command followed by sendkeys ?

I have not, mainly because one of the windows is a web-based application through internet explorer.
