Total width value of selected columns

I am using the UDF which I can find the total hight selected rows.

Using type of this UDF =ROWTOT(A1:A20) and gives total hight of A1:A20 rows.

I tried this new UDF for the same for columns , with:

This UDF running only ONE column. For examle: =COLTOT(B1) gives Column B width value.
If I use that way, =COLTOT(B1:F1) gives only B1 width .NOT from B1 to F1 total width of columns.

How can it be modified to calculate for B1:F1 colums width same as row height calculation above.

Thanks in advance for any reply and help.
    Regards,
    turist
