Excel 2010 vs 2003 Random number in unlocked cells.

In Excel 2003 I had a simple macro that filled in random numbers in the unlocked cells of a protected sheet.
In Excel 2010 it also put numbers into the locked cells whilst the sheet is protected!

Anybody an idea why VBA 2010 ignores the protection of a locked cell in a sheet?

I see the same behaviour with Excel 2010 as with 2003. The locked cells are not populated.

I would guess that you've protected the worksheet with userinterfaceonly set to true which would allow you to overwrite cells by macro. Does this macro behave the same way?

Interesting.. I must admit I do have "userinterfaceonly" in workbook_open. I stopped the Workbook_open. And unprotected and protected the sheet manual again... (manual is without "userinterfaceonly")

Strange is that I have converted the same file into .xls 2003 (also "userinterfaceonly") and then it doesnt ran over the locked cells, which is quit odd tbh.
