Query Google Drive using VB code

I work for a company that produces balanced scorecard calculators in MS-Excel. We also use Google Apps for Business extensively for ourselves and our clients. I need to use vb code as a macro in MS-Excel to query whether a defined folder in Google Drive exists. Basically, if the folder exists then do something, if it does not exist, do something else.

    Can anyone help???

This isn't trivial, not least the authentication involved. What's your level of understanding regarding web technologies?

Not very good unfortunately. Pretty new to this. What do you suggest?
