I am new to this forum. It looks like it has a lot of really valuable information and I hope that I can also be a contributor. I have done a lot of complex Excel formulas but am new to VBA programming.
I have an Expense Spreadsheet that works very well for my business. As I enter my expense detail, it automatically generates a string that contains the date range for this workbook. That string is displayed in a cell on my "Summary" worksheet. What I want to do is to take the date range string from the spreadsheet and update the file's metadata. That way, I can click on the filename and see the date range string (From and To dates) and then decide whether I want to look at the contents of the file or not. If I look at the standard properties in the metadata, the TAG property sounds like a logical choice.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can automatically update the TAG property in the files metadata? Ideally, the macro would run every time that the spreadsheet is opened but that can be my next project.
Thank you
Brian
