Checkbox - Click a cell and have an x appear

I have a checklist in excel that has little square boxes next to each list item. I want to be able to click a box and have an "x" appear in it and then if I click it again I want the x to go away. Not sure if a button can be created or somehow designate the cell to do something in particular through a macro.

There is a selectionchange event that would do something like this:

Where A1:A10 is the cells you want it to apply to but it won't work perfectly, if you click a cell whilst it is already selected it won't work. It would be better to just use checkbox forms.
