Excel to generate email to one (1) specific address based on specified date.

Can somebody first show me a good website to start learning VBA?

Also, I'm working on a file like this right now (see attached) and I would like it to email me (my personal email) 6 months after the sample has been collected, and inform me that 1) it's been 6 months (some sort of standard personal message indicating why I'm getting the email), 2) who's/which sample it is.

Then after I've insterted (manually) a ship date, it will stop generating email notification.

Any bare bone macro will do if I can start to desypher it and adjust it how I need to.
