Working with multiusers on a shared excel workbook

    Hi All,

    Here is my scenario:

-My workbook is run by some handful of macros. I need to share this workbook with about 15 users who would be populating the sheets via various userforms.
-For this I can have it shared from a desktop that is accessible to the 15 users.
-However,to get the users access the userforms, they would need to login from an initial userform (say UserForm1). For this, I have a veryHidden sheets with 2 columns(username and password). Userform1 searches from this sheet and compares the credentials and allow/deny access. This work fine.

    Here's my problem:

One of my sheet needs to have itself filled with the user data provided in a userform (say userForm2). Along with these user data, the "username" need to be entered as well in the row. This can be easily achievable if one user is accessing the file at a time. But with multiple users the case would be different.

    DOUBT
-Is there a way I can identify each user accessing and updating the sheet so that I would be updating the username along with the other data?
-Is there any concept (like sessions in VBA) that I need to be aware of before I can get this done and dusted?
-If yes, please let me know about these concepts to which I could probably google for more info. Any links that explains my requisites would be much helpful.

If I have failed to explain my issue clearly, let me know so that I can elaborate it there. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Re: Working with multiusers on a shared excel workbook

Is it that the answer to my question is a "NO". The only alternative that Microsoft provide for this is using ACCESS.
I would be happy if I am wrong here. Can someone confirm on this and kill my curiosity ?
