How do I change properties of activex combobox that is linked data validation list?

Hi

I will very much appreciate if someone can help as I have done a lot of searches but can't find any discussion on problem I am experiencing. I have inserted an activeX combobox that is linked to a data validation list. After testing the VBA code for showing combobox list I can't find the combobox back to change some of the properties. The combo box just dissappears. I don't want to create a new combobox every time I wan't to change the properties. Am using excel 2010.

If you select the Design Mode button on the Developer tab you should be able to select the combobox and change its properties.

Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately it's not that simple as the combo box is used by VBA code that refers to a column of cells where users can select validated data entries.

I do not understand what your issue is then. What exactly do you have a problem with?

To see the combobox displayed so I can change the properties of the combobox. I don't see the combobox displayed when I select Design Mode.

Are you certain it is still on the sheet? If you are, then you may be able to select it by using the properties window in the VB Editor.

It is. When I select the combo in Object list in VBA it only shows properties for the sheet when I select properties. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Is Excel still in Design Mode?

It wasn't. Once I select design mode I could see the properties for the combo boxes in VB editor. Thanks very much for your time!
