Search in a compo box using the first 2 letters.

    Hello

I have a compobox in a userform that user chooses names from a list. As the list is -now more than 200 lines is really hard to scroll down all these lines for choosing a name.

What i am thinging is a way the user to type the first 2 letters of the name that needs and then a list with only the names that the first 2 letters are same should appears. Then user will choose from these names.

Thanks in advance for any assistance here!

Sort the Source Data in Ascending order so that it will show related matching values in the drop down

    Hi Maria

With the MatchEntry property set to 1 - fmMatchEntryComplete, in your ComboBox it will jump to the relevant part of the list as an entry is typed in.Continue type letters will perform the one that you need.

EDIT: sorry you can ignore my post above this is more useful for those using data validation lists rather than comboboxes.
