    Help with VBA Index-Match

    Hi… Need some help…

I've read that Index-Match is magic.... like sliced bread.... but I can't figure out the VBA way to do this.

    I’ve attached a simple worksheet.

I’m trying to pull an Employees schedule from a worksheet using VBA. I’ve figured out how to pull the day I want…. But I need assistance with Index-Match I think, since I’m looking left.

Since “employees” can change on a 2 week basis, I can’t use the Column 2 “employee” names… I have to use the employee names associated with the pay period that includes the date I’m pulling.

I’m trying to move left from the date column I’m pulling out, to the first instance of “Employee” in the column, then pull that column out and paste it next to the schedule.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Someone has to have an idea how to find the position of a dynamic value to the left of a known position.
    Anyone?

How do I make it search Left, from a known starting column, for the first instance of the word "Employee" in row 1?
    Anyone?
